Music you can see, touch, and make your own

Make an instrument that’s entirely your own.

VMuse turns iPad into a canvas for building and performing custom multitouch musical instruments. Its core creative workflow works offline.

In development for iPadOS 18 and later.

From first idea to full-screen performance

A simple creative rhythm.

Build and map freely, test without changing the design, then prepare a stable version for the stage.

Create with more than notes

Your pictures. Your sounds. Your layout.

Combine imported images, bundled Elements, editable text, drawing, shapes, lines, 20 procedural backgrounds, and first-class instrument modules. Everything stays arranged on one normalized Canvas.

Playability with intention

A visual is not a sound. You decide what plays.

Draw rectangular, elliptical, or traced Touching Regions, then map them to built-in or imported Sounds. Regions anchored to an image stay aligned as the image moves, resizes, or rotates.

A protected stage version

Keep experimenting. Keep the performance safe.

The draft keeps autosaving while a published revision stays immutable. Unfinished Editor work never silently replaces the last prepared version that is ready to perform.

Understand Publish and Performance

Native and offline at its core

Creative work belongs on the iPad where it was made.

No login, profile, or backend for the core workflow.

No analytics or app-owned network transport.

No cloud sync, public sharing, or remote asset catalog.

Projects, imports, and app-audio recordings remain local.
